Ofcom

They are an independent regulator and competition authority
for the UK communications industries.
They follow the rules set under the Communications Act 2003 and make sure that the citizens of the UK are protected from scams and sharp practices while getting the best out of their communications services.
Other things they do include:
-Protecting TV viewers and radio kisteners from harmful and offenssive material.
-Provides a wide range of high quality TV and radio programmes which appeal to a range of tastes and interests.
